Well, actually, the planning for the 2016 8th Street Music Fest started immediately after the 2015 8th Street Music Fest. But, as March is kicking in the committee for the festival is honing in on the details for the event this year and this site will start to update those details.
We’re excited about the happenings for 2016 and we look forward to sharing the event with you!
The 6th Annual 8th Street Music Festival and Beer Tasting is beginning to take shape according to festival chairperson Greg Bracale. Our music director, Jay Umble has arranged an outstanding array of talented musical acts this year. Some of the acts scheduled to appear are Zuzuzat, the Don Johnson Group, and back by popular demand, the spectacular Rose Hudson Group. More musical acts will soon be announced. This year’s festival opens at 1:00 p.m. and the music starts at 2:00
We are also pleased to announce our popular music week series is expanding, in co-sponsorship with our partner restaurants; we are placing live music in 10 different venues. Keep an eye out for more details and announcements.
Our very popular beer tasting will be back along with some special surprises in the beer tent! Watch for details later this summer! We are expecting 4 specialty food trucks this year.
This is one of the CLA’s largest single day events and, as always, this event could not happen without our dedicated group of committee members and volunteers. Our sponsors and donors have been especially important to our success and without this group we would not be able to produce this event. We are grateful for their ongoing support. If you would like to showcase your company please contact the CLA office for more information on sponsorships.
We’re finalizing the beer (yes, I know that we’re getting mighty close to the day of our event) and have some fantastic additions to our line up. Here are a few of our local favorites and check out our Brewfest page for the updated list on other beers that will be available.
